Sharon Smith

Artistic Director

Beginning in the fall of 2020, Crescendo's Artistic Director will be Stacia Cammarano.
Cammarano grew up singing in the Seattle Girls Choir which spurred her love of music education. It is the main inspiration behind her career as a choral conductor. Cammarano expressed her desire to combine her personal connection to a community youth choir and her experience in the public school, stating “I look forward to … providing a similar setting to what I experienced in my own choral upbringing: a community rich with music education, literacy, and a family for students to grow and mature with as they navigate childhood.”
Stacia Cammarano pursued her love of music education and completed her BA in Choral Music Education from Gonzaga University in 2016 with a minor in Choral Conducting. She is currently working on completing her Masters in Music Education with a choral concentration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN (summer program). Since 2016, Cammarano has been teaching three choral ensembles at Shadle Park High School and holds Kodaly Musicianship certifications in multiple levels.

After more than a decade of exceptional service to the organization, Sharon Smith has retired as Artistic Director of Crescendo Community Chorus.

We will deeply miss the energy, passion, and dedication that Sharon has brought to Crescendo over the past 13 years. The love she has inspired for choral music will remain in the hearts of those who have been mentored by her dedicated instruction.
Due to pandemic restrictions, Mrs. Smith's retirement celebration has been put on hold. We are looking at doing a "Celebration Picnic in the Park" and hope to make it as special as possible under the circumstances. It may not be until mid July or August, but you can help in creating something special for her. Please contact us if you would like more information.
